France in the World starts with … France and Corsica
France in the World begins with its hexagon divided into 13 metropolitan regions and 95 departments. Corsica is divided into 2 departments with Haute-Corse (2B) and Corse-du-Sud (2A).
French Southern and Antarctic Lands (TAAF)
This territory currently comprises five very different districts: the Crozet Archipelago, the Kerguelen Islands, the Scattered Islands in the Indian Ocean, the islands of Saint-Paul and New Amsterdam and the Adelie Land. They are all located in the southern Indian Ocean or, in the case of Terre-Adélie, in the area of the Southern Ocean located in the southern Indian Ocean and at the longitude of Australia.
Clipperton Island, Passion Island
Its lagoon is the only freshwater lagoon in the world. Clipperton Island is also the only French possession in the North Pacific.
New Caledonia
New Caledonia is a French collectivity made up of a group of islands and archipelagos in Oceania, located in the Coral Sea and the South Pacific Ocean.
Overseas
The French overseas departments and territories are also referred to as DROM-COM (Overseas Departments and Regions and Overseas Collectivities) or DOM-TOM (Overseas Departments and Overseas Territories).

This status concerns Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Reunion and Mayotte.
The COM
This status concerns Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin, Wallis and Futuna and French Polynesia.
