From medieval fortresses to bastides, from deep valleys to rocky promontories, served by a network of small departmental roads, you will discover, on the handlebars of your motorbike, a whirlwind of colours and flavours that will take you from Périgord to Quercy. Program
DAY 1: PERIGUEUX
Arrival in Périgueux. Installation at the hotel. Free visit of Périgueux.DAY 2 : PERIGUEUX- SARLAT-LA-CANÉDA
You leave Perigueux in the direction of Brantôme. This charming village on the Dronne will allow you to walk along the river and visit its abbey. Then, by making a short stopover in the medieval village of Bourdeilles dominated by its castle, you will join the Vézère valley to reach Sarlat which will be your stopover.DAY 3 : SARLAT-LA-CANÉDA
Free day at Sarlat where we propose you a loop of a few kilometers to discover the majestic medieval castles which dominate the valley: Castelnaud, Beynac, Milandes, but also the most beautiful classified villages of France which surround it : Beynac, Domme.DAY 4 : SARLAT-LA-CANÉDA - ST CÉRÉ
You now take the direction of one of the most beautiful sites of the region, classified Grand Site de France: Rocamadour. Stroll through the old town and climb the steps up to the abbey and its black virgin. Then, you will be able to sink into the depths of the Padirac abyss. You will finish this beautiful day by admiring the villages and castles on the banks of the Dordogne: Carennac, Castelnaud, Bretenoux.DAY 5 : ST CÉRÉ - CAHORS
Your first stop of the day will be in Figeac, a major stop on the way to Compostela and birthplace of Champollion. After a coffee break you will take your motorbike back to Cahors and its famous Valentré bridge, having made a small detour to the village of St Cirq Lapopie on its rocky promontory overlooking the Lot.DAY 6 : CAHORS - ALBI
You cross the hills of Quercy to visit Villefranche de Rouergue and its historic centre then following the valley of the Aveyron by small winding country roads you can wander through the narrow streets of the listed village of Najac and then Cordes sur Ciel. Two of the most beautiful villages of France. Only a few kilometres left to reach Albi, your last stop, with its majestic fortified cathedral and the banks of the Tarn where you can have a drink and celebrate the end of your motorbike roadtrip in Périgord.
